The 1st Central Visayas Professional Convergence (CVPC1) is the historic gathering that unites professionals from diverse disciplines across Central Visayas for two days of collaboration, innovation, and professional excellence. ✏️ABOUT Organized by the Federation of Accredited Professional Organizations of Region Seven Inc. (FAPOR7) in partnership with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Region VII and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region VII, this inaugural convergence serves as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strategic partnerships. Anchored on the theme, "LAMBO Central Visayas! Advancing Resilient, Inclusive Growth and Environmental Stewardship Through Professional & Ethical Collaboration," the convergence highlights the vital role of professionals in driving sustainable development, ethical leadership, technological innovation, and inclusive progress throughout the region. The event will bring together leaders, practitioners, educators, researchers, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and emerging professionals from healthcare, engineering, education, architecture, information technology, business, government, hospitality, research, and allied professions. Through plenary sessions, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and collaborative engagements, participants will explore innovative solutions to regional challenges while strengthening inter professional partnerships. As the first convergence of its kind in Central Visayas, CVPC 2026 marks the beginning of a shared commitment to building a stronger, more resilient, and future-ready professional community. It celebrates the collective expertise, integrity, and service of the region's professionals as catalysts for national development. Together, we move forward with one region, one vision, and one professional community—creating lasting impact through collaboration, excellence, and ethical leadership. ✏️ OBJECTIVES The first Convergence aims to: 1. Lead a multidisciplinary, multisectoral, and gender-inclusive collaboration & discourse on the 5 key thematic priorities 2. Align professional organizations’ priorities with the Central Visayas Regional Development Plan (CV RDP) and the Harmonized National Research & Development Agenda (HRNDA) 3. Mobilize professionals and institutions on initiatives and efforts on the 5 key thematic priorities 4. Build a digitalized "Central Visayas Professional Network" to facilitate knowledge transfer and collaboration between all the professions & various sectors 5. Optimize professional organizations’ efforts and initiatives using regional Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) roadmaps & policies ✏️THEMATIC PRIORITIES & PROGRAM Guided by both the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) and the Central Visayas Regional Development Plan (RDP), we propose five interlocking development areas as the regional “concern arenas” this first Convergence will surface, structure, and prioritize. They are: A. Infrastructure, Energy, Water & Digital Connectivity B. Human Capital: Health, Nutrition, Education & Skills C. Food Security & Resilient Agriculture, Aquatic & Natural Resources (AANR) D. Climate & Disaster Risk Reduction, Urban Systems & Environmental Stewardship E. Competitive & Inclusive Services, Industry, and MSMEs Day 1 consists of 10 plenary talks revolving the above. thematic priorities. This is followed by a recognition ceremony and fellowship night. Day 2 consists of the public policy forum, parallel sessions, and the world cafe. An exhibit hall will be available for both days.
